Angela's Top 4 Rules of Energy Ethics

Boundaries, Consent, and Integrity

Even though working with subtle energy is working with the seemingly invisible, it is incredibly important to remember that there are still rules, boundaries, and ethical structures to work within. In my work with clients, this means standing in a place of integrity and asking lots of questions. From that space, this framework emerged...

My top 4 absolutes

  1. Get consent. Just because you can, doesn't mean you should... or that you automatically have permission to do so. Get consent from your client to tune in to their higher self. Ask for permission from their higher self before doing any work or sharing any information you receive. If a client is asking about someone who has passed on or is not in the room, ask your higher self if this area of questioning is ethical. If it is, ask the higher self of the being/person in question for permission before asking anything else.

  2. Do no harm. This goes for your client, anyone they are energetically connected with, and you. Ask their higher self if what you are doing is safe for them and everyone involved, if the work is yours to do, and if it's the right time for it to be done. If you're depleted, or your client needs time process the work you've already done, it's time to stop, no matter how long you've been working. Some energies can be detrimental to our energy systems. Don't work with energies you don't understand, or that you don't have the permission or ability to work with, or to work with safely. You may be doing more harm than good to yourself or others without intending to. When in doubt, don't do the work.

  3. Know your boundaries. Get clear on what work you have the natural ability to do, and who it's for. We all have various skills and abilities. Not everyone has the same ability to clear trauma energetically or to look into future events. Begin to forge a relationship with your higher self to understand your abilities and your boundaries. Honor these natural abilities by honing them and working within your specialty. If you don't know your area of expertise, find someone to help you tune in and gain a clearer picture of what you're capable of doing before working with anyone.

  4. For them, not you. Always make sure that the work you are doing with a client is for them, with them in mind, and for their highest good. Consider that we are all unique, and are all here for different purposes. Without judgement, check in with their higher self for the answers they need rather than giving advice or suggestions that may not work for them at all. Just because you want to have an answer, doesn't mean they need or want it. Let your client lead the way, trusting their higher self knows best.

Getting Answers From Your Higher Self

Your higher self is the wisest part of you. It knows everything there is to know about your past, your path, and your purpose here. Not connecting in with this wisdom means you're working without a map, bumping around in the dark, asking other people for advice about your life path.

Without this tool, I wouldn't be able to do the work that I do. I am constantly checking in with my clients higher selves to understand where the trauma is and with my higher self to know the best way to clear it.

Energy Working Ethically

In the work that I do with clients, boundaries, consent, and understanding my own and my clients limitations gives me a safe and rich structure to work within. Knowing that this framework begins and ends with integrity, allows me to trust the work... to trust that I am doing the best that I can for the people who trust me.
